On September 19, 2026, our team will be entering the Lowell Kinetic Sculpture Race (LKSR) with a custom in-house design-build Blackdog kinetic sculpture: a one-of-a-kind creation imagined, designed, and built by our own team.

Moose was built in-house, giving team members a chance to collaborate outside the usual project setting. From concept development to construction, every decision had to consider both form and function. We wanted our sculpture to look creative, represent the Blackdog spirit, and be built to move (aka ready to crush the competition).
A Celebration of Craftsmanship & Community
We are looking forward to seeing the other kinetic sculptures, meeting folks in the community, cheering on the other participants, and sharing a project that reflects the skill and personality of the Blackdog team.
