Our Team's History

The original company,  Blackdog Builders, was founded by Dave and Brenda Bryan in 1989, beginning with a spare room, a pickup truck, and a hands-on approach to remodeling. In the early years, Dave and Brenda did everything themselves, from meeting with clients to swinging hammers and managing the office. As the company grew, so did the team, carefully adding designers, carpenters, and project managers who shared the same values of craftsmanship, accountability, and respect for clients’ homes. This remodeling company is named after Moose, the Bryans’ energetic Black Labrador, who was always close by in the early days of the company.

Today, our team is made up of experienced professionals and multiple divisions, including Blackdog Design/Build/Remodel, who work together every day under one roof. Designers stay involved beyond the plans, project managers focus on preparation and communication, and our carpenters take pride in the details. We have grown over the years, but our commitment to teamwork, organization, and doing things the right way has never changed.
